This website is a
joint effort provided by the Transition Advisory Committee and the Pottawattamie County GIS Department.
This website is intended to help local residents of Pottawattamie County find the services they need.
In the Fall of 2007 the Transition Advisory Committee, local community services professionals, met with the GIS Department to start an initiative to map human services in Pottawattamie County community. After that initial meeting, the Pottawattamie County Community Services Department took the lead in developing the list that is present on this site. The GIS Department then took that list, loaded it onto the map, and then built the site around the map. The website was launched on June 1, 2008. The information on the site is maintained on a regular basis and each new resource is evaluated and categorized by a subcommittee of the Transition Advisory Committee.
